Establishment of the Governing Council of the Commission
(1) There shall be for the Commission, a Governing Council (in this Act referred to as “the Council”), which shall consist of:
(a) a part-time Chairman, who shall be a retired judge of Nigeria;
(b) the National Commissioner,
(c) a representative, not below the rank of a Director or its equivalent, from:
(i) the Federal Ministry responsible for Justice,
(ii) the Federal Ministry responsible for communications and digital economy,
(iii) the Central Bank of Nigeria, and
(iv) a law enforcement agency; and
(d) one representative from the private sector.
(2) Members of the Council other than the National Commissioner shall be paid such allowances as may be determined, in collaboration with the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission.
(3) The supplementary provisions set out in the Schedule to this Act shall apply with respect to the proceedings of the Council, and other matters contained in it.
