Bonus: How to Choose the Right Tech Event in 2026.

1. Find your why:

Ask yourself what your goal is when attending a tech event. Different people want different things out of each event. If your goal is to network in tech, for instance, you may be better suited attending the events physically. If your goal is just to gain knowledge, you are at liberty to choose between events that have only physical attendance, only virtual attendance or both.

2. Cost:

Your goal for attending may determine if and how much you’re willing to pay for entry or commuting to the venue for the tech conferences. While some tech law events are free entry, some may request an entry fee. If the people you intend to network with will be accessible at the events with a paywall, then, it could justify paying for the conference. If the knowledge being imparted at the conference is classified and not easily accessible to outsiders, this could also be a good justification for choosing conferences with an entry fee.

3. Time:

For busy professionals, time could be a deciding factor in what events you are able to attend. Events on or closer to weekends or known holidays may be more suitable. An event that has a fully virtual attendance or that mixes virtual and physical attendance may be useful to look out for.
